Our lesson was about Comparison and Contrast. The meaning of Compare is that the relation to reading refers to the process of identifying the similarities and differences between two things. And the Contrast refers to identifying only the differences between two things. Comparing and Contrasting texts is one of the most challenging critical reading skills to acquire because it requires evaluating and synthesizing. People, places, objects, and events can all be compared and contrasted.

Example of Comparison and Contrast

The activities are easy and you can do them right away.  I learned that Comparing is not good if we're looking for a feeling of superiority or to escape having to push ourselves to perform better. However, such a negative comparison can serve as a reminder of our own misfortune. They can also benefit us when we consider the things we regret but are powerless to change. There's none I find difficult. The highlight of the discussion is that Comparing can be both beneficial and detrimental. 

Performance Task

  The “Auld Lang Syne” is usually in the anthem sung over at New year. It is also sung at funerals, graduations, and other farewells beginning on occasions. Referencing new starts and shifting circumstances It's about letting go of previous relationships and the past. In furthermore, there'll be a celebration of friendship and remembrance with friends. The persona's friends are memorable because of the activities they've done together, such as running the hillsides and pulling daisies, and taking a cup of kindness. Run up and down the slopes. Paddle in the stream. Those memories come from the character's youth. 'Auld Lang Syne is a song about a variety of experiences. The song is most typically associated with and sung on New Year's Eve, a significant occasion for a person as he or she begins a new year. Another common occurrence depicted in the song "Auld Lang Syne" is around political elections or even graduations, both of which involve people in festive emotions. There are additional situations that are brought to life by the song 'Auld Lang Syne,' such as emotional goodbyes, particularly those of friends. During New Year's celebrations, Filipinos love to sing the song 'Auld Lang Syne,' which translates to 'Old Good Times.' This song represents new beginnings, and singing it at the start of the year is a good way to start the year. 

They are in touch with the soul's desire to create. The genuinely great is born from an eternal location where the sun never sets. Never to be forgotten/ The basic pleasure of blood taken from eternal springs/ Breaking through rocks in realms before our own.  According to the poetry, the legacy of great individuals is their acts of grandeur, for that they were remembered, and their names endure in the minds of all those who look up to them and believe them.
